Cycle Level: 1

Julia Cook always has such good books to introduce moral concepts to students. This time, we looked at stealing because unfortunately, it's been happening inside of the classroom. After reading the class "Ricky Sticky Fingers" by Julia Cook, we spoke about stealing and why it's wrong. We also shared personal experiences on the topic and spoke about how it made us feel in the long run. After the discussion, each stole had to write something that Sticky Ricky could have stolen and what he did to give it back. Students were allowed to choose examples from the book or make up their own.
