About Me

My name is Marlee Yunger, and I graduated from McGill University with a Bachelor's degree in Kindergarten and Elementary School Education and from Tel Aviv University with a Master's degree in Public Health specializing in Emergency and Disaster Management. As long as I could remember, people have told me I belong in the classroom due to my love of children, my creativity, and my passion for making a change. When I finally applied to university, I knew a degree in education had to be my first choice.

I attended both private and public schools for my own education. I believe that students in both public and private sectors, fortunate or not, should have the opportunity to succeed. This mentality of mine grew stronger when my love of volunteering flourished. I've produced benefit shows, raised money for a variety of causes, and volunteered abroad.

Besides my passion for education, I love attending concerts and traveling the world. Through music, I met a unique group of friends from all around North America and some in the UK. In regards to travel, I've traveled to places such as Ethiopia, South Africa, Israel, Poland, islands in the Caribbean, and states in North America. I love to explore new cultures and genuinely appreciate the esthetical differences between different countries. Eventually, I would like to incorporate my love of traveling, volunteering, and teaching by becoming a teacher in a developing country.
Unless someone like you cares a whole awful lot,
Nothing is going to get better.
It's not.
